PHILANTHROPY
it feels good
My Dad's cousin Morell raised money for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra which she loved. This fundraising commitment would often require her and her walker to set a table at the entrance of the Hollywood Bowl and solicit strangers to donate. She loved talking to people and educating them on music. This also allowed her to enjoy the evening's event gratis.
Like her and other family members, I support many causes that I believe in. Since I have lost many family and friends to disease, I lean toward medical fundraising targeted at breakthrough medicines and cures. I give because I believe my money makes a different. I give to honor those dear to me. I encourage you to make a donation to an organization or cause that means something to you.
Below are a few of mine.
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team N Training (TNT)
for my brother who passed away from cancer and in support of my niece who continuously challenges herself to raise money for research and a cure.

Santa Barbara Cancer Center
for my friends who have needed treatments and support through their journey.

Human Rights Watch
in support of global human rights and freedom.

Girl Scouts of America
my family and I support my youngest niece in developing her leadership skills. And who doesn't like cookies?
